Re:Public of Lebanon
This project was an exploration that started from Beideker’s Palestine and Syria travel guide from the Special Collection at the Providence Public Library. Aristotle’s ten categories (substance, quantity, quality, relation, place, time, position, state, action and affection) framed each 6x9’’ postcard. The recto of the postcards showed old images of Lebanon in the early 1900s with a seal that specified each Aristotle category. The verso represented a drastic and cynical comparison of what Lebanon has become today. Professors: Bethany Johns & Dylan Fracareta
